Task 3.25: Branch Video

Task 3.25: Branch Video

This week's task will require your video skills and your creativity, as you create your branch's most original Office-related video yet! As this is our one and only video task of the season (and one of only two branch tasks), we are giving all branches free reign to come up with their best, most original video related to Dunder Mifflin Infinity and/or "The Office."

What types of videos are we looking for? Here some ideas, but don't feel we're limiting you as THE SKY'S THE LIMIT!
  • Motivational Video
  • HR Video
  • Public Service Announcement
  • Commercial
  • Press Conference
  • Branch Tour
Remember, this is a BRANCH video. We are looking for collaboration and creativity! What does that mean? It means that the more branch members you get to submit video clips, which the Regional Manager (or any other branch member delegated to compile the video) will then edit and submit, the MORE SchruteBucks will be earned by your branch for this task. Each RM will have to submit a list of employees' names who submitted original clips that were used in the branch video (and describe them, either by timecode, scene or dialogue), in order to verify their eligibility for SchruteBucks.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Decide in your branch forum what type of video you'd like to collaborate on. If you are NOT currently in a branch or your branch does not have a Regional Manager (or your Regional Manager is inactive), we encourage you to transfer now to another active branch or you will not be able to participate in this task
  2. Have someone in your branch (Regional Manager or other capable employee) collect all the video files in order to edit them in a cohesive manner.
  3. The maximum duration of your branch video must not exceed three (3) minutes in length. Branch videos must not exceed 100MB in file size. Acceptable video formats:
MPEG (.mpg), QuickTime (.mov), avi (.avi), Windows Media (.wmv), Flash Video (.flv), Real Media (.rm).
  4. Once complete, have your Regional Manager (or Acting Regional Manager if your RM is absent) submit the branch video for you. NOTE: The video may ONLY be submitted by the RM or ARM from your branch.
  5. IMPORTANT: Regional Managers must fill out the names of all employees who contributed to their branch video and clearly indicate which material belongs to which employee, in order for Corporate to approve their participation. Corporate reserves the right to disqualify any videos compiled for the sole purpose of earning as many Sb as possible and who do not display sufficient effort.
  6. All video clips submitted by employees MUST be original and must not include any copyrighted work, whether it be TV or movie footage, brand name products or logos, or third-party music (with the exception of "The Office" theme song or "Male Prima Donna" song, if so desired). Any clips containing non-permissible material will not pass our NBC video approval process and will not be eligible for SchruteBucks.

MAY 20th UPDATE: Click here to access the upload form if you're a Regional Manager or Acting Regional Manager.

  • Any entry without an associated video will be considered invalid. Once a branch submits a video, the RM or ARM should continue to the following page and submit the contributors' list, all in the same session.
  • While an RM or an Acting RM can submit an entry for their branch, they cannot cross submit, meaning either one can submit but not both.

VOTING
There will be no voting for this task. All branch videos will be reviewed by Corporate and will receive Sb according to 1) approved submission, 2) Top 10 placement.

All rewards are payable in SchruteBucks, the official currency of Dunder Mifflin Infinity.
  • For submitting a branch video: Sb $200 for participating, Corporate-approved employees
